There's an artist named Jim Coulter, who makes these and sells the whole setup, including tripod and backpack for around $300ish. The palette/easel I will use for this trip will be Prolific Painter's Day Tripper with 12" vertical panel holder which will be mounted on my Gitzo travel tripod. My lightweight jar for medium/thinner, also from Prolific Painter, attaches to the palette via its own little bungee. There are smaller palettes/pochade boxes but I like as large.

May 11, 2021 #1 Has anyone here tried the Day Tripper easel? I like that each component is lightweight. I have to limit lifting even 5-pound objects, so the lighter the better.
